Even with a 280 rad the cpu *idled* at 62 c, the next processor up, the 9700k, could but it put the whole build over $2400. i had factored in the asus tuf z3270 pro , the cheapest coffee lake board, a mortonic $20 fly by night special hdd, and the st1100 ti is priced at $100, can't go lower and still have enough wattage for a severly oc gpu. This pc is going to be mainly used for gaming. it is a great high end build if you are looking to save a small amount of money while being able to get a high amount of performance in your games. Would buying a second 1080ti for sli be worth it? i'm new to sli and the easiest way i see getting 3070 performance right now is by getting another 1080ti. do most games even support sli nowadays? i've heard a lot of negative things about it so i wanted to make sure before i waste my money.
