Amd 5800x3d Performance 916 By Totalmoon980154 Install Installing amd chipset drivers (with and without on fresh windows install) reinstalling graphics driver. using nvidia clean install, using ddu (safe mode, not connected to the internet), installed them using nvslimmer. also installed it without nvidia hd audio reinstalling windows windows' balanced (recommended) high performance power plans. Mi50 mod in the case of the 5800x3d, thermal limits are the main issue, and better cores will run cooler and use less voltage usually, so its possible that cppc preferred cores will improve performance, since it will boost higher for longer on those cores before running out of thermal headroom. Amd has done a good job of putting a large l3 cache that matches the game on the processor with the most game friendly topology of all amd processors. i compared the 5800x3d to the 5950x. (the 5950x is a 5800x 1ccd, not much difference.) this was the first time i could benchmark almost identical processors, differing only in cache.
