Learning Health Community A learning health system (lhs) gets pretty close to that approach (and much more) to health care and health, putting precisely that type of timely and actionable knowledge, based on the real world experiences of millions of patients, in the hands of clinicians, patients, and all other health care stakeholders. A learning health care community (lhcc) is a framework to enhance health care through mutual accountability between the health care system and the community. lhcc components include infrastructure for health related data capture, care improvement targets, a supportive policy environment, and community engagement.
Learning Health Community
Learning Health Community As bright star transitions to a learning health community, our mission remains the same: to promote patient safety and support quality improvement programs that safely reduce unnecessary testing and treatment, decrease antibiotic resistance, and provide high value care to critically ill children. The learning health system (lhs) is an ideal state system in which a multi stakeholder learning community that possesses a shared interest in solving a particular health related problem utilizes system infrastructure to undertake a cyclical process to improve performance and health. These tools provide a person‐centric foundation upon which the knowledge and experience of patients and caregivers are collected, curated, aggregated and shared to support a data‐driven learning health community continuously powered by the people and for the people. The learning health community (“community”) aims to mobilize and empower multiple and diverse stakeholders to collaboratively realize a national scale (and ultimately global), person centered, continuous and rapid learning health system (lhs).

Learning communities comprising people with relevant experience and expertise, including patients, are the foundation of successful systems learning communities co design strategy and purpose, and identify the data and tools required to deal with a problem the goal for learning health systems is continuous, intelligent improvement in patient care. The lhcc involves health care providers, researchers, decision makers, and community members who work to identify health care needs and address them with evidence based solutions. the objective of this study was to summarize the barriers and enablers to building an lhcc in rural areas.
