Mesh Trouble Joining Two Meshes Together Blender Stack Exchange So, i'm trying to make a model of the lamp from the simpsons. this top part is giving me trouble at first it was easy i just booleaned a sphere to a cylander cylinder and they fit together perfectly. Specifically, the trouble i’m having is that the ears are a separate mesh that i want to join to the rest of the mesh.

Mesh Trouble Joining Two Meshes Together Blender Stack Exchange By default, the texture node uses the first uv map in the list. when you join the two objects the two materials find two different uv maps in the new object, but both are using the first one, which is good for one material but bad for the other. so simply tell the second material to use the correct uv map, using an input uv node. don't forget to apply (ctrl a) rotation and scale to both meshes. I have a pistol model from blender that is made up of two parts: the slide, and the rest of the gun so that it is easier to animate the slide. i exported the model with the working bone (slide) as an fbx and then imported just a static mesh to unreal, getting 2 static meshes because it was 2 objects in the blender file. If you join 2 objects with ctrl j they will become 1 object with 2 separate meshes. the meshes can only be sculpted individually and don't merge > the crease persists. as already suggested, you need either boolean them & touch the mesh with dyntopo enabled to create the vertices or use the voxel remesher. I started with a single mesh and added additional meshes (all in edit mode) to create my geometric shape. they are all part of the same object, but now i can't figure out how to "carve" my desired shape of this geometric mesh pattern because some of my faces are going to get deleted etc.

I want to know what would be the best way to take two meshes (constructed using trimmesh) and merge them together. the idea would be to identify a face on each mesh and connect the two using those.
