You are assuming i am outputting the signal from the oppo to another dac for decoding i am not. like i said my oppo has a modified dac onboard for audio. so i am using it as a cd player. i have a teac ud 501 dac thats hooked up to a mac mini that's being used as a media box. so technically i have two dac's in my system. i specifically. I believe the oppo’s proprietary wifi dongle can only handle 2.4 while the roku can do 5.0 speeds via wifi. btw, aside from being much cheaper on the reseller market, the 103 and 105 will decode and play hdcds, the newer 200 series oppos do not decode hdcds and will only play such discs as standard cds. Connect from oppo to de embedder using hdmi ( ensure oppo sacd menu is set correctly) then connect from de embedder to your dac using i2s (another hdmi cable) or using dop which would be a coax or optical cable.
